Problem

Date events are central to Greek life and spirit organizations in college, yet members struggle to find compatible plus-ones due to limited interaction, planning friction, and social pressure, often resulting in missed opportunities or awkward pairings.

Solution

Greek Meet is an event-based matching app that helps students find compatible companions for social events, reducing planning friction and increasing confidence through shared context and intentional pairing.

We started with…

Interviews

  • 60/40 gender split

  • 4 Sophomores, 2 Juniors, 1 Senior

  • Ethnically diverse

  • Diverse majors

  • All in Greek life or spirit organizations

Affinity Diagram

Objective: Find these answers

  • What is your process to find and bring a date?

  • What qualities do you need your date to have?

  • What tools do you use today & how should they be improved?

Personas

Secondary persona: Penny, the cautious planner.

Anti-persona: Mia, the studious person not interested in attending date events.

Primary persona: Alexas, the easy-going Greek Life socialite.

Secondary persona: Jason, the casual Greek Life Dater.

We created user personas for three different user groups and one anti-user group. We gathered insights on:

  • Behaviors & Habits

  • Motivations

  • Goals & Needs

  • Date Expectations

  • Tools they use for finding a date and planning

  • Frustrations
